Da capo al fine

"He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will." Ephesians1:4-5

Adoption. That simple word changes lives. It changed one specific life in my family today. The seven month long drag for full guardianship of Gabrielle Grace is finally over. [deep breath] She's ours.
A date at children's court, a big family celebration, and then we're done - right? Not really. Gabrielle has a life ahead of her, and so does my family. It's almost exactly parallel to the Christian's adoption into Christ's kingdom. A big conversion, a heavenly celebration, and then what's next? Life with Christ Jesus for eternity. Call that amazing.
Well, the adoption is finished, but life with our precious little girl isn't done yet. It's just beginning.

Praise the Lord!!!

I'm soooo happy for you! I know it's been a long journey--the Lord is so faithful.

Psalm 127:3- "Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord..."

Psalm 148:13- "Let them praise the name of the LORD: for His name alone is excellent; His glory is above the earth and heaven."

And what a precious little sweetie you have. :) She's extremely adorable. :)

Blessings as you continue to serve our Heavenly Father!! He is so good & faithful.

Blessings,
Elizabeth
P.S. Have you read One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp?? Wondering what your thoughts are on it...I'm in the midst of it and have been inspired. :) I'm working on my "one thousand gift list"--such a blessing! Blessings, Rachel!!

Elizabeth,
You are so sweet and kind and encouraging... thank you so much for your comment! I love when I receive a comment with God's Word in it. What a blessing!

I just bought One Thousand Gifts a few weeks ago. Unfortunately my mother grabbed it before I could get my hands on it... I'm waiting in anguish! I've been reading Mrs. Voskamp's blog for a few years, and it's one of my favorites. I'm so glad you like the book, and I would love to hear how your gratitude list is going. Once I read the book, I'll tell you what I think of it... until then, press onward sister!

God bless you my friend!
Rachel Grace
